My Bestfriend’s Birthday

Monday, August 10th, 2009

I really missed her company. We’re partners in crime before while we’re still in Pinas. She was active in blogging, now it seemed like fading. But I know, she will be back in due time. With her upcoming return, for sure they’ll be no more temporary goodbyes. Right dear?
Happy Birthday Samantha Dear.
Bestfriend's Birthday

Thank you for all the wishes and greetings

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

This post is for all the friends, visitors and commentators who greeted me on my birthday. I thought my day would be empty and quite since it’s the last day of the weekdays here. When I woke up, hubby and kids greeted me before a kiss and hug. Oh well I already posted the happenings on my natal day exactly.

Saturday night was the birthday celebration. We invited close friends but no relatives since we don’t have any relatives living near us. My honey invited some Filipino close friends too. There were 8 families in total and all has children. Hubby prepared or cooked almost all the foods for the night. He was the one insisted to have a party for me. He was busy since Friday preparing everything and busy almost whole day of Saturday. I helped him in some way like marinating the special fried chicken. I also made Maja Blanca desert. Hubby really loves to cook. He cooked beef stew which my Russian friend like so much. Very tasty macaroni salad. His first try for the dish was perfect. Filipino style spaghetti. Some friends brought deserts like sticky rice (biko), cassava cake, chocolate fudge and two dish which are pancit and marinara. We had fun that night even our kids with my friends kids. We had 12 twelve kids all in all. I was prepared for the kids. I prepared one room for them to play Wii, computer and many toys. It was very effective way of keeping the kids busy while parents are chatting, singing-along, eating and having a toast. My friends insisted me to blow my cake, I was ashamed to do in front of many but still I did. Two of my foreign friends said something very overwhelming and give a toast for me.  Yeah I gain and blessed with very good foreign friends.

We had vodka cruiser drinks for girls and red/white wine for anyone who likes. Some beers also. People don’t drink too much hard because most of them are driving home with kids. The party ended quarter past ten and we’re so tired.I was little bit groggy. I was still able to chat my bestfriend Sam not knowing she posted about me in her blog to commemorate my natal day. I love you dear Sam, thank you very much. You’re the light that never dim in my life.

I never expect any presents from my visitors but I’m not the one holding their minds. I still got goodies and I felt like a kid having a kiddie party lol. Very much appreciated most especially their presence that made my celebration memorable.  All friends that we invited were there. It was the first not so quite big party that we hosted  for my day. I owe my honey a lot for the success of the celebration.

Thank you very much to the ff. who extend their greetings and wishes in my natal day post..

Condolence my friend!

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

I was shocked when my bestfriend Sam of Show Me your Interest told me just a while ago that her mom passed away last night. Silly me thought she was joking. It hurts. It’s painful. I know the feeling when you lost someone. I lost my Dad fours years ago and that was the saddest moment of my life. Now my bestfriend’s Mom. How painful it is to lost a mother? Oh God, I don’t know. It’s unacceptable for me. I don’t know what words to tell her but she’s already prepared, her family was already prepared. She has an ill mother for 20 years those moment with her mom are so precious. I know how brave you are dear but still you’re a daughter so I know you’re in deep sorrow. Mommy Virginia is already in God hands. Free from pain. If you happen to stumble this page of mine and read this post, kindly drop a message of sympathy here or to my Besfriend’s Blog. Let’s help her pray for the soul and peaceful rest of her Mom
I love you dear bestfriend.

Blogger Blogs In One

Sunday, November 23rd, 2008

Finally, I figure out How do I move a blog between accounts. Yes guys. I never know this process before. To those who are not aware, Words of Love blog is owned by non other than Joyoz, the author of Everyday Life Reflections and More On Health. I have three blogs under blogger and the rest Wordpress. Words of Love has another user name and email address of course. I created this love blog of mine not knowing that I can add blog to my first account. Well, actually this blog was really created not for myself but for my high school friend/classmate. She was curios before what is blogging and even requested me to create one for her. And so I did. She made maybe 2-3 postings but after that she stopped. Some people are not born to write and think like what we’re doing bloggers for years. So she gave up and said sorry. No need to said sorry anyway. I’m still here to take charge of it. I edited some of her postings because it doesn’t really belongs to me and very opposite personal opinions because of having different lifestyle. She is a domestic helper in Lebanon and very dear to me. We have the same name, same school during secondary, same age but not the same life. I admire her working hard just for her family. Because of that, she remain single and ignore suitors. That’s why I entitle this blog before as “Labor of Love” remember?
We still have communication through YM and she sometimes visit this blog that is supposed to be her blog. The last time we talked, she went to Thailand visit her sister who is also a domestic helper there. She promise to send me some pictures of the place captured by her own hands. Cool.
So guys, if you have the same concern like mine, you can move your blogs that has separate user account and join them into to one. Just refer to the link above. It’s easy to follow. No more hassle in logging in with two Google accounts. Now, it’s easier for me to navigate my three blogs and give them a fair enough attention.

Why do we need friends?

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

We need friends for many reasons,
all throughout the season.
We need friends to comfort us
when we are sad,
and to have fun with us when we are glad.

We need friends to give us good advice,
We need someone we can count on,
and treat us nice.

We need friends to remember us
one we have passed
sharing memories that will always last.

Spread the poem of friendship.
1. Everyday Life, 2.Words of Love

So to all my friends who are dear and close to my heart, this for you. I’m so grateful to have you.
