I really missed her company. We’re partners in crime before while we’re still in Pinas. She was active in blogging, now it seemed like fading. But I know, she will be back in due time. With her upcoming return, for sure they’ll be no more temporary goodbyes. Right dear?
Happy Birthday Samantha Dear.

This post is for all the friends, visitors and commentators who greeted me on my birthday. I thought my day would be empty and quite since it’s the last day of the weekdays here. When I woke up, hubby and kids greeted me before a kiss and hug. Oh well I already posted the happenings on my natal day exactly.

Saturday night was the birthday celebration. We invited close friends but no relatives since we don’t have any relatives living near us. My honey invited some Filipino close friends too. There were 8 families in total and all has children. Hubby prepared or cooked almost all the foods for the night. He was the one insisted to have a party for me. He was busy since Friday preparing everything and busy almost whole day of Saturday. I helped him in some way like marinating the special fried chicken. I also made Maja Blanca desert. Hubby really loves to cook. He cooked beef stew which my Russian friend like so much. Very tasty macaroni salad. His first try for the dish was perfect. Filipino style spaghetti. Some friends brought deserts like sticky rice (biko), cassava cake, chocolate fudge and two dish which are pancit and marinara. We had fun that night even our kids with my friends kids. We had 12 twelve kids all in all. I was prepared for the kids. I prepared one room for them to play Wii, computer and many toys. It was very effective way of keeping the kids busy while parents are chatting, singing-along, eating and having a toast. My friends insisted me to blow my cake, I was ashamed to do in front of many but still I did. Two of my foreign friends said something very overwhelming and give a toast for me.  Yeah I gain and blessed with very good foreign friends.

We had vodka cruiser drinks for girls and red/white wine for anyone who likes. Some beers also. People don’t drink too much hard because most of them are driving home with kids. The party ended quarter past ten and we’re so tired.I was little bit groggy. I was still able to chat my bestfriend Sam not knowing she posted about me in her blog to commemorate my natal day. I love you dear Sam, thank you very much. You’re the light that never dim in my life.

I never expect any presents from my visitors but I’m not the one holding their minds. I still got goodies and I felt like a kid having a kiddie party lol. Very much appreciated most especially their presence that made my celebration memorable.  All friends that we invited were there. It was the first not so quite big party that we hosted  for my day. I owe my honey a lot for the success of the celebration.

Yeah today is my natal day and tomorrow is my big night. I want to thank God for giving another year to live in this world. The best blessing is a new life. I’m thankful for all the blessings like my loves ones who were always there for me. My friends who never forget. I’m happy today because I feel good and I want to thank God for the good feeling.
I started my day by going to church and attended the 11:30 mass. What a freezing and drizzling day for me. After I went to church, I eat lunch alone and hurried through my second driving lesson session. It was stressful because it’s not easy for me but I know it was not the end. Eventually I will learn. Not in a hurry anyway.

I was home by 2:20 in the afternoon and was waiting for the time to pick up my kids at school. Five minutes before the time I picked up the kids, someone knocks on my door. My best-friend Lina giving me flowers and greet me Happy Birthday. So sweet of her and almost everyday we’re together at the park with our kids.

On our way to the school, I saw my hubby on the way home holding lots of stuff for my birthday celebration tomorrow. He invited lots of Filipino friends and I invited my three foreign close friends as well with their kids. So it’s going to be a fun day. Hubby will cook almost everything for the celebration. He prepared a lot just for me.

When I came home and entered my room, I saw a card on the top of my laptop. Unexpected but I was delighted. Of course it’s from hubby. I feel like seventeen with his corny message. And I feel like overly loved. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

We celebrated hubby’s natal day yesterday just like the normal Sunday. Lunch out and then church. When we got home, I came to realize that there’s something wrong. This day should be special. Hubby just wanted the day like ordinary day, but no! It can’t be. It’s his last number of the calendar. So I forced him to go with me to buy just a small cake. He refused but I insist. I told him we’ll cook something for dinner. He said, baby, I’m tired and not in the mood to cook today. Poor hubby always thought that he will be the one to cook. So I said, sit back and relax and I’m in charge in the kitchen now. We bought ingredients for Pancit Bihon (Pampahaba ng buhay hahaha).  He doesn’t like the idea of blowing a cake but still I insist. So we ended the day special. We eat the cake while watching DVD-Movie and it was really yummy mud-cake. I have something for him but I’m still waiting for it to be delivered. I ordered it online.
Anyway, thanks God for all the blessings especially the new year added to my hub’s age.
